A great misconception carried by many Christians has to do with the location of heaven. The word heaven itself implies that our eternal destiny is somewhere “up there” in the heavens. The expectation of every mother and father who have had a still-born child, aborted child, or had a young baby die for any reason is that the baby will be in heaven. That is a great blessing for the aborted child. I read the above passage in your conclusion about babies going to heaven.

Some have guessed that babies are given a resurrection body (1 Corinthians 15:35-49) that is “fast-forwarded” to the “ideal age,” just as those who die at an old age are "re-wound" to the ideal age. This would indicate that there won’t be any children or elderly people in heaven. What is the ideal age?

But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:13-14) So, the Bible indicates quite clearly that children who die go to heaven. However, the question remains at what age an individual ceases to be a child. Age of accountability? So, we know that babies and children go to heaven when they die. However, we don't know what the cutoff is for those who die young.

We can live in the assurance that if we know Jesus Christ as our personal savior, we will see our deceased child again. The Biblical story of the death of King David’s infant son provides Biblical support for our hope that we will see our children again in Heaven. In the book of 2 Samuel, King David has a child with Bathsheba.

“For David did not ascend into the heavens” (Acts 2:34). Jesus Christ confirmed this when He said, “No one has ascended into heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven” (John 3:13). Human beings who have died are now in the grave awaiting resurrection (Ecclesiastes 12:7).

He who believes in me will live, even though he dies” (John 11:25). The Apostle Paul wrote, “I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far” (Philippians 1:23). The Bible also says, “Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands” (2 ...

All believers in Jesus who die before his Second Coming, will first be with Him in heaven, and later live with Him on the new earth, when heaven and earth will have become one. When Jesus was dying on the cross, He told the criminal who believed in Him: “today you will be with Me in Paradise” (Luke 23:43).

He says there are no husbands/wives/children in the resurrection (read: “heaven”) as we understand those relationships on earth. I also feel Hebrews 12 means something totally different…the witnesses being spoken about are from Hebrews 11–they lived by faith and this is their TESTIMONY (read:WITNESS which is from the same root) recorded for us in the OT and NT.
