Can children go to hell? Under certain situations they probably could. In 2 Kings 2:23, 24 we read how some boys were cursed and killed for mocking God’s prophet. We are not told the age of these boys, but apparently they were old enough to know better.

Answer. The Bible doesn’t explicitly answer the question of whether children who die before they are born again go to heaven. However, enough indirect information can be pieced together from Scripture to provide a satisfactory answer, which relates to infants as well as those with mental handicaps and others.

The scholars differed concerning this matter, and there are several views: That they will be in Paradise. Some of them said, they will be in al-A’raaf [a place between Paradise and Hell]. And the reason why it was said that they will be in Paradise is because this is the ultimate destiny of the people of al-A’raaf.

No , No children cannot go to hell nor the mentally deficit. If no earthly Judge would hold a child accountable for a crime, that they were unable to understand, how would you even think the Supreme Judge to do any less. Yes there is a hell, yes a just God will judge those who are accountable.

While the Bible does not explicitly say where young children go when they die in infancy, it seems to imply that they go to heaven. First, there is no verse in Scripture that states that those unbelievers will go to hell because they were not old enough to believe.

Jesus indicated that people who enter heaven are like children, implying that children go to heaven. And He called a child to Himself and set him before them, and said, "Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 18:2-3) Then some children were brought to Him so that He might lay His hands on them and pray; and the disciples rebuked them.
