Such descriptions are included as part of the Babe Ruth League Rules and Regulations. CAL RIPKEN BASEBALL DIVISION The bat may not exceed 33" in length, and the bat barrel may not exceed 2 5⁄8" in diameter. Only 2 5⁄8" barrel non-wood bats with USABat marking are approved for use. BBCOR Bats are not permitted.

No BBCOR Bats are permitted in the Cal Ripken Division. For the T-Ball Division, bats must be marked with the USABat T-Ball Stamp. Babe Ruth Baseball 13-15 Division – All non-wood bats must have the USABat Marking or marked BBCOR .50.

Effective January 1, 2018, all youth players in AABC, Babe Ruth / Cal Ripken, Dixie, Little League, and Pony will be required to use youth bats with the USA Bat certified logo. USSSA and AAU will NOT be affected by the rule change, but the new baseball bats will be allowed for USSSA play. The 2018 Easton Z-CORE Lock & Load BBCOR Baseball Bat: BB17ZLL will be allowed for Babe Ruth leagues, ages 13 and above. Any league with player's younger than that will only be allowed to use a USA certified bat.

NCAA BBCOR bats are limited to a maximum value of .50 BBCOR. The maximum value for the new youth bats will be approximately .53 BBCOR. With the creation of the new standard, DYB players will also now be allowed to use bats with either a 2 1/4 inch or 2 5/8 inch barrel diameter (as long as they carry the new USABat stamp).
