The Bible does not specifically say what will happen to babies, infants, and children when the rapture occurs. This causes many Christians to worry that they will be taken in the rapture, and their young children will be left behind to face the terrible tribulation.

Based on this same principle, it is likely that babies and young children will leave earth to be with Jesus in heaven at the rapture. Though they have not yet expressed faith in Jesus Christ, He is the atoning sacrifice for the sins of all, including those unable to place faith in Him (1 John 2:2).

There are 3 Main Views when it comes to the Rapture and children and babies. View 1: No children or babies will be raptured since the rapture is for believers only. Since babies or children are too young to believe in Jesus for the forgiveness of sin then they cannot be participants in the rapture and will be left behind.

The spirit/soul, as we know it, does not age and has no maturity, so to say, but rather is all equal in God’s eyes and so yes babies, children, the most aged will be raptured one day and be before God’s throne and those things that differentiate us such as age, sex, gender, color will all drop away and be non-existent for God’s realm is a Spiritual Realm and not a flawed Physical, fleshly one.

Not ALL children (at the age of innocence) will be taken when the Rapture occurs. In fact, there is an up-side to children of unbelievers being left behind. Your immediate reaction might be: “How could there be any good from leaving “innocent” children behind at the Rapture?”

Here are the reasons I believe the children of believing parents will be taken up at the rapture of the saints. The entire point of teaching the rapture is for the purpose of providing comfort. The classic passage on the rapture is 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

The children that will be taken to Heaven are to be saved so that they will not breed with, or be genetically altered to be as, the hybrid-beings that will appear in the last days on the Earth. If Jesus did not take these children in the Rapture, then they, too, would become abused and corrupted so that there would then be no real human beings left on the Earth.

Therefore, many students of the Bible believe that at the Rapture, in the twinkling of an eye, your child will be born and immediately receive his/her resurrection body. Nobody knows the answer to the age question, but as you say, the process of aging requires the passing of time, something that doesn’t happen for raptured believers.

Notice carefully. Jesus issues a special “woe” for the parents of children in the time of tribulation. But, the Lord specifically gives two ages of children, here: 1) children who are nursing, and 2) children still in the womb. There is absolutely no mention of older children. These children will be those born AFTER the Rapture.

I feel that children and unborn babies are inherently innocent and thus will be taken up with those who believe during the Rapture. #14 Amy13 , Oct 17, 2015 Darrell C Well-Known Member
