I should point out that it is much more common for a Turkish man to marry a foreign woman than for a Turkish woman to marry a foreign man. This I understand is related to islamic beliefs and how the religion supposed to transfer from the father to the child (hence a muslim woman's children with a christian would be christian, not muslim).
